About Emily Stifler Wolfe

I come to this work through two disciplines that shaped how I see the world: journalism and mountain rescue. I’ve built magazines from the ground up, climbed 3,000-foot rock walls, and been on serious high-angle rescues.

My years as a writer sharpened the tools I use every day: inquiry, synthesis and narrative storytelling. I learned to listen, and to see the world from different perspectives. The mountains taught me to read terrain, assess risk, and stay calm under pressure. I learned how to build a team, and how to lead.

That training is integrated into how I help people make sense of challenging situations, the communication skills I teach, and the strategic action that emerges downstream.

My methodology draws on Clean Language, design thinking, Nonviolent Communication, and a deep belief in collaborative decision-making. One throughline ties it together: I help people see clearly, and act from there.
